Dr. Steven E. Holberg, DPM

 

Gulf Coast Hospital's former specialty leader in Podiatric steve.gifSurgery, Steven E. Holberg, DPM, did his undergraduate work at Vorhees Campus, C.U.N.Y, and Brooklyn College of Pharmacy, L.I.U., and received his graduate degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Holberg completed his residency training in foot surgery at Peninsula Hospital Center in N.Y. he then completed a fellowship in reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle at Southeastern Medical Center in N. Miami, FL.

Dr. Holberg is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in foot and ankle surgery and is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Holberg served on the Credentials Committee of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and was an oral examiner for the certification examinations for 10 years.

He is past president of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Florida Division.

Dr. Holberg has had additional training in complex wound care and has been certified to practice in curative wound care center. He presently engages in wound care at the Southwest & Regional Wound Center.

Dr. Holberg and his wife Karen live in Fort Myers. They have four children.
